About Hannah
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in eating disorder recovery, trauma therapy, EMDR, anxiety, and body image concerns. I work with teens and adults who want to feel more at ease in their bodies, develop a healthier relationship with food, and better understand the experiences that have shaped how they relate to themselves and the world around them.
I specialize in working with eating disorders, body image concerns, trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. I support adolescents and adults who may be navigating restriction, bingeing, purging, compulsive exercise, body dissatisfaction, perfectionism, or the pressure to meet impossible standards. I also work with clients who are navigating the transition to college, life after graduation, changing relationships, or simply figuring out who they are and what they want their lives to look like. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and begin letting go of the rules and expectations that have been keeping you stuck.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in curiosity. I draw from EMDR, Intuitive Eating, and a Health at Every Size®-informed perspective. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I want to understand what your eating disorder, anxiety, perfectionism, or coping patterns may be trying to communicate. Together, we can explore the deeper experiences and beliefs underneath them while building practical tools to help you feel more grounded, connected, and in control of your own life.
I’m especially passionate about using EMDR to help clients process trauma and the experiences that have shaped their relationship with themselves and their bodies. Trauma doesn’t always look like one significant event. Sometimes it shows up through years of criticism, bullying, difficult relationships, feeling like you were never “enough,” or learning to disconnect from your body and emotions. EMDR can help process these experiences and the negative beliefs that have become attached to them, creating space for a different relationship with yourself—one rooted in safety, self-trust, and compassion.
My passion for this work developed through my experience supporting individuals in higher levels of care for eating disorders, including residential and partial hospitalization settings. Working alongside clients during some of their most challenging moments showed me the importance of compassionate, specialized support, and reinforced my belief that recovery is possible.
What you can expect from working with me
You can expect warmth, curiosity, and a little bit of humor. This is a space where you don't have to minimize what you're experiencing.
